Darby Translation – Calfskin
This is a new setting of the New Translation of the Bible, originally completed by J. N. Darby. This New Translation is published to meet an increasing demand for a more useful format and comfortable reading size, and includes helpful additions to cross references, in addition to other study aids.
This Bible is digitally typeset in Lexicon No.1, a font designed for easy reading. The print is black-letter throughout and the text is presented in paragraph form with a single-column format. Readers familiar with previous editions will note that the cross references have been relocated to the outer margin, while the translator notes are still in the traditional location, at the bottom of each page.
This Bible contains Darby’s notes with some minor English and style updates for ease of use. The cross references of Thomas Newberry are used in this editions, as well as all of Darby’s cross references. Darby’s cross references can easily be distinguished by a separate marking scheme. Helpful study features include book introductions taken from Darby’s writings, page headings, definitions to uncommon words, dictionary, and maps.
